Learning outcomes: The Module is intended to introduce basic concepts of corporate governance to increase the depth of understanding of basic corporate governance principles and issues, including how to practically approach improving governance. Corporate governance is a multi-disciplinary subject and covers areas such as ethics, organisational structure, organisational culture,

Sustainable development and risk management. At the end of this module you will have basic knowledge of corporate governance and ethics theory, principles, application, etc. Best practices will be shared from the King Codes and other related resources. You will also learn how to report fraudulent and unethical activities within the organisation and have a basic understanding of whistleblowers laws and protection of whistleblowers. You will be able to explain why environmental awareness is part of good corporate citizenship and the practical ways of implementing effective programmes that address the impact of business on the environment. Finally, you will understand the basic frameworks for managing organisational risk and reputation management.
